How to Whitelist an Email Address
Sometimes, our emails can get lost and end up in a place called the “spam folder”. We don’t want that! We made this page to help.

How to Whitelist an Email in Gmail
- Open your Outlook application: Begin by launching Outlook on your computer or opening the web application.
- Navigate to the ‘Junk Email’ options: Click on the ‘Home’ tab at the top of your screen. Then select ‘Junk’ and ‘Junk E-mail Options’ from the drop-down menu.
- Go to the ‘Safe Senders’ tab: In the ‘Junk E-mail Options’ window that appears, you’ll see four tabs. Click on the one that says ‘Safe Senders’.
- Add the email address to the list: Here, you’ll see a button labeled ‘Add’. Click on it, and a small window will appear. Enter the email address you want to whitelist in the text box, and then click ‘OK’.
- Ensure automatic whitelisting for people you email: You might also want to check the box that says ‘Also trust e-mail from my Contacts’. This automatically whitelists all email addresses in your Contacts list. There is another option, ‘Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List’, that you can enable if you wish.
- Save your changes: Once you’ve added all the email addresses you want to whitelist, click ‘OK’ on the ‘Junk E-mail Options’ window to save your changes.
How to Whitelist an Email in Outlook:
- Open your Outlook application: Begin by launching Outlook on your computer or opening the web application.

How to Whitelist an Email in Yahoo
- Open Yahoo Mail: Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
- Access Settings: Click on the gear icon, usually located at the top right corner of the page, to access your settings.
- Go to More Settings: In the drop-down menu that appears, click on ‘More Settings’.
- Navigate to Filters: On the left sidebar of the settings page, click on ‘Filters’.
- Add a New Filter: Now, click on ‘+ Add new filters’ at the top of the ‘Filters’ section.
- Enter Filter Information: In the form that pops up, you need to fill in the information for your filter:
- In the ‘Filter name’ field, you can enter a name for this filter (for example, the name of the organisation or individual whose emails you’re whitelisting).
- In the ‘From’ field, enter the email address you want to whitelist.
- In the ‘Then move the message to this folder’ field, select ‘Inbox’ to ensure that all emails from this sender will go to your inbox.
- Save the Filter: Click on ‘Save’ to create the filter. This email address is now whitelisted.
Now any emails sent from your whitelisted addresses will go straight to your inbox. If you still find that you’re not receiving our emails, it might be worth checking your email settings or contacting your email provider.
